Does Success equal Happiness?

If your definition of success is being happy then yes otherwise, no. There are a lot of successful people who could have everything they could ever want and still not be happy. On the other hand, there are people who have not been very successful but are still very happy.

Happiness is defined by each individual person while success can be defined by society and culture but it does not have to be. Happiness and success are different for everyone. Many people wrongly equate happiness to success. Those who think this way have been brainwashed by American capitalism to overwork themselves for only a little bit of success. Individualistic Societies have many of us thinking that if you work overwork yourself, you will be successful, but most people will only experience burnout. For those who are successful by working too hard, often struggle with other aspects of their lives like relationships, spirituality, and/or mental health.

I cannot help you find your own definitions of happiness and success but I can tell you what I think. Being successful to me is finding joy in the little things and being joyful even when things go wrong. I have found joy in Jesus because even if everything is going wrong, I can still be joyful because I know that Jesus has already won.
