Finch

When the bills pour in,

And things do not go as planned,

Just sit down, put your feet up,

And say, “life is a finch.”

When that lady yells at the cashier

For some dumb reason,

And you are waiting to check out,

Everyone knows that she is a finch.

When the HOA pesters you about uncut grass,

Or when your landlord will not fix your leaky faucet.

It is easy to get angry,

But stay calm, and remember that they are finches

Life is tough,

But as my late grandmother would often say,

Life is a finch,

And then you die.
