Anchor

As I walk into the unknown

My hope in you anchors my soul

From sinking into my fears and doubts

And keeping me from turning around

To what is comfortable and safe

Lord, you are my safe space

You are an anchor in turbulent waters

In tough times I come to the altar

To find a place of healing and refuge

You have never refused

While the sea is roaring 

You are the one who keeps me steady

So that I don’t go overboard

Lord, I am ready

You can do what I am unable to

My strength is because of you

You keep me calm and sane

You will never go away

Lord you make me bold

Because you anchor my soul
